New Tote Bag Design

This past weekend I ventured into the fabric pile and started exploring. I began by recycling some old leather and creating the straps for a new bag design, next I pieced together the olive cotton canvas upper with the navy nylon bottom. I finished the tote off with a dark denim lining. Stay tuned for new additions popping up in the shop!

Travel Companions

This past weekend my boyfriend and I packed our bags for the holiday and headed for the hills! We enjoyed some much-needed r+r and the peak of Fall foliage up here in New England (Rangeley, ME to be precise). I packed my vacation bag from L.L.Bean Signature and my boyfriend loaded up his zipper duffle. I love my bag because it is the perfect size for a weekend trip. Did you know about the L.L.Bean Signature Collection? What are your favorite pieces?

TIME OUT NEW YORK

About a month ago I was contacted by Time Out New York inquirying about my denim and chambray zippered pouch. The fashion department was plannning their fall trend posts and they were interested in seeing my zippered pouch in person. I sent it off and was honored when I found out last week that I was included in Time Out New York’s Men’s fall fashion trends. (they saved the best for last!)

NEW COLLECTION @ EKLUND GRIFFIN

I am very excited to officially launch my zippered pouch collection on etsy. Each bag is one of a kind and is perfect for your favorite essentials. Here is a preview:

new zippered pouch design

Thursday night I had an urge to make a little zippered pencil pouch. I searched through my fabric collection and I very quickly picked out some chambray, striped cotton and navy lining. I finished off the little bag with a red zipper and gold fisherman’s twine for the zipper pull. I have already started to brainstorm all the different possibilities! New products will start to pop up in the shop!

A little summer getaway

This Wednesday morning I am headed off shore for my big summer vacation. I will board the Hardy Boat out of New Harbor and will arrive on Monhegan Island. I will pack my oil paints and easel and spend 5 peaceful days hiking and painting all over the island. Stop back next week for some show and tell!

1. I will be catching up on some reading from my most recent issues of Maine magazine. 2. I would love to jump into this Scalloped Stripes Dress for the boat ride. 3. JCrew’s twisted bandeau tank swimsuit would be perfect for cooling off at the beach. 4. I will be writing some notes with my greeting cards. 5. Oil Paints 6. I can’t forget the French easel! 7. L.L.Bean Signature’s Downeaster Sport Canvas Bag would be a perfect overnight bag! 8. I’ll be packing my Nikon.

BAGGU® FOR JCREW

While visiting my sister in Boston this past spring I spotted baggu for jcrew and fell in love. This past weekend my sweet sister surprised me with the brilliant blue and retro jade baggu bags! Grocery shopping has never been so much fun. Tonight I arrived home from the store just in time for Blair to see her gifts in action. I highly reccomend these bright and versitle bags for your summer adventures whether they go with you to the farmer’s market, beach or yoga class!
