I am in love with the new fall collection from TOAST. With an exquisite rich autumnal palette and warm textures I can see multiple pieces that I would love to add to my wardrobe. The backdrop for the photo shoot is breathtaking and really does make fall seem like a wonderful thing right now even though I seem to be holding on to summer with a very tight squeeze. So here is my toast to a happy new fall season with crisp sunny days, fresh apples and cider and warm sweaters!

This Wednesday morning I am headed off shore for my big summer vacation. I will board the Hardy Boat out of New Harbor and will arrive on Monhegan Island. I will pack my oil paints and easel and spend 5 peaceful days hiking and painting all over the island. Stop back next week for some show and tell!
1. I will be catching up on some reading from my most recent issues of Maine magazine. 2. I would love to jump into this Scalloped Stripes Dress for the boat ride. 3. JCrew’s twisted bandeau tank swimsuit would be perfect for cooling off at the beach. 4. I will be writing some notes with my greeting cards. 5. Oil Paints 6. I can’t forget the French easel! 7. L.L.Bean Signature’s Downeaster Sport Canvas Bag would be a perfect overnight bag! 8. I’ll be packing my Nikon.
I am getting very excited for the warm weather of spring to blossom into the summer. Also, I may have gone on a little dream shopping spree at ANTHROPOLOGIE.com tonight in preparation for the season to come….
L.L.Bean Signature introduced their Fall 11 Collection online today. I can almost feel the crisp air and cozy wool sweaters now…

I could spend hours scrolling through the blog, The Dress I Made. Here are a few grabs of her beautiful and inspiring work.
Last night I made a pit stop in Portland on my way home from work and discovered FIND a great spot for vintage shopping. I picked out way too many things but couldn’t part with the vintage LLBean flannel shirt, vintage anchor dress and the amazing vintage homemade floral sundress. I think I am going to do a little altering on the anchor dress and I will be ready to greet the summer with style. (in the meantime I will be able to cozy up in my new flannel!)
Yesterday was the official launch of LLBean’s Signature Fall’10 Collection. Let the shopping begin! I will post the Men’s Collection recap tomorrow night.
